Banks and UPI apps tell you about every payment by SMS. Hisaab reads those transaction alerts on your phone to build your spending history automatically. It is the app's core feature. It is optional: if you decline, you can add transactions by hand.
No. The message text stays on your phone. Hisaab extracts the amount, merchant, date and account ending, and uploads only those facts together with a one-way hash used to avoid duplicates. OTPs, passwords, personal chats and promotional messages are skipped.
Yes. In Settings → Privacy and your data you can export your data, clear stored message details, or delete your account, which permanently removes your account, transactions and settings. You can also request deletion on the web.
Not yet. iOS doesn't let apps read SMS. Hisaab is on Android today, and email import is planned.
No. Hisaab can't log in to your bank, make payments or move money. It only reads alerts you have already received.
Totals and comparisons are calculated by code from your verified transactions. An AI model may then put the already-calculated figures into a sentence, and if its wording contains a number that isn't in those facts, the answer is discarded and a plain template is used instead.
