Free on Android · Made for India

Know where your money goes, automatically.

Hisaab reads your bank and UPI alerts on your phone and sorts every rupee for you. No spreadsheets, no manual entry, and your messages never leave your device.

Android only for now. iPhones don't allow apps to read SMS.

Everything your money is doing, in one place

Hisaab does the boring part (reading, sorting, adding up) so you can just look at the answer.

Tracks itself

Debit, credit, card and UPI alerts from your bank become clean transactions with the merchant and category already filled in.

Explains why spending changed

"Food is up ₹1,420 compared with August." Every insight links to the exact transactions behind it, so you can check the maths.

Ask my money

Type "How much did I spend on food this month?" and get a straight answer, calculated from your verified transactions only.

Cash wallet

Paid with cash? Add it in seconds so your picture of the month is complete, not just the digital half.

Subscriptions and recurring

See what renews and when, and catch the subscription you forgot you had before it charges again.

Review inbox

Credit-card bill payments, refunds and money friends paid back are flagged for a quick yes or no, so they never inflate your spend.

Weekly and monthly reports

A short summary of where the money went, delivered when you want it.

App lock

Protect Hisaab with your fingerprint or face, the same as your banking apps.

Your data, your call

Export everything as a file, turn off SMS access, or delete your account, all from Settings.

Set up in about a minute

  1. Sign in

Verify your mobile number with a one-time code. No passwords to remember.

  2. See what we read

Before asking for any permission, Hisaab shows you exactly which facts it keeps and which messages it ignores.

  3. Allow SMS access

Optional. Without it you can still add transactions by hand.

  4. Get your snapshot

Hisaab scans the last 30, 60 or 90 days and shows where your money went.

We read your alerts. We don't keep your messages.

Hisaab asks for SMS access for one reason: to find transaction alerts from your bank. This is what happens to each one.

  • The text of your messages is never uploaded. Only the extracted facts are.
  • OTPs, passwords, personal chats and promotional messages are skipped.
  • Encrypted in transit and on our servers.
  • We never sell your data and we show no ads.
  • Turn off SMS access, or delete everything, anytime from Settings.
  • Spending numbers are computed by code. The AI only phrases them, and never invents a figure.

Questions, answered

Why does Hisaab need SMS permission?

Banks and UPI apps tell you about every payment by SMS. Hisaab reads those transaction alerts on your phone to build your spending history automatically. It is the app's core feature. It is optional: if you decline, you can add transactions by hand.

Do you upload my messages?

No. The message text stays on your phone. Hisaab extracts the amount, merchant, date and account ending, and uploads only those facts together with a one-way hash used to avoid duplicates. OTPs, passwords, personal chats and promotional messages are skipped.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. In Settings → Privacy and your data you can export your data, clear stored message details, or delete your account, which permanently removes your account, transactions and settings. You can also request deletion on the web.

Does it work on iPhone?

Not yet. iOS doesn't let apps read SMS. Hisaab is on Android today, and email import is planned.

Does Hisaab connect to my bank account or move money?

No. Hisaab can't log in to your bank, make payments or move money. It only reads alerts you have already received.

How are the answers in "Ask my money" produced?

Totals and comparisons are calculated by code from your verified transactions. An AI model may then put the already-calculated figures into a sentence, and if its wording contains a number that isn't in those facts, the answer is discarded and a plain template is used instead.

Is it free?

Yes, there are no ads and no data sales.
